Diagnosis: who the fuck knows
Here, take: Zyrtec and Prednosone
If this doesn't clear up: come back and we'll do all kinds of freaky tests
Also: get your bloodwork done
Because: of the blatant bruising. What are those from, anyway?

(Um. I... don't know.)

From injury?

(Yes. Yes, injury.)

Well, based on the fact that you bruise easily, your gums bleed when you brush your teeth, and [insert sensitive medical issue here*] you probably have a low platelet count. Get your bloodwork done so we know why, if it's a bone problem or what.

(Okay.)

Also, you should get a pelvic exam if you haven't recently.

(...Okay.)

And you have a deviated septum. But you don't have to worry too much about it.

(...)

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Have a nice day.

*Apparently getting clots when you're on your period is a bad thing. I feel stupid, but I totally did not know that. See, people, this is what happens when you don't have lots of money and/or insurance- you only go to doctors when you're deathly ill or can't stand something anymore. (Read- if you don't have anything visibly wrong with you, you don't go to the gynecologist. And then you don't know that clotting isn't normal.)

Yeeeeeeeeah.

Well, I've got a birth control appointment thing on Wednesday, so I guess I'll find out more then.

Bah.

Don't feel stupid about not knowing the clot thing. I didn't know it was a bad thing either. I know what you mean about not being able to afford going to the doctor unless something is wrong. I hate that my job does not provide insurance so that I could go to a few doctors.

I'm 22 and I've never been to the gynecologist in my life. Even though I have a few mild problems of my own, I probably won't go until something is terribly wrong.

I hope you feel better soon, and that things start looking up for you medical wise!

...Wait...you're not supposed to get clots on your period? Really? Totally not being sarcastic, I never heard that and I've always gotten clots...what's so bad about it?

Re: Pelvic exams...Don't listen to them! Pelvics are evil! EVVVVIIIILLLLL!

Re: Gyn's...lol, when I knew I was preggo, but before I started seeing a doctor, I had a fun conversation with a girl I used to go to church with...

Me: So how am I supposed to pick an OB anyway?
Sharon: Ask your gynecologist for a referral.
Me: *silence*
Sharon: *gives me an odd questioning look*
Me: ...I'm supposed to have a gynecologist?

And lastly, Re: Doctors and insurance companies...INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE THE SPAWN OF SATAN! I just had a row with my insurance because after 4 months of happily paying the doctor, they decided they didn't want to anymore and I was suddenly looking at an almost $900 bill in my name...got the bastards to pay it and agree to keep paying again, but it took nearly a month.

As for seeing the doctor...besides the OB, I haven't seen a doctor since my college physical last year...before that I can't remember the last time I saw one. I don't go unless I'm dying either, so don't feel bad.

Um, Ari, you're special...... Even Us Stupid men know stuff like that. Well I don't count cause I'm a "Trained Medical Professional" but still..... Yeah calling me a trained medical professional is scary and funny at the same time isn't it. I'm been one for over a year now and it still makes me giggle.

Oh yeah and one of the few bonus' to be in the military is that if I ever need a doctor I can go see one for free. The drawback is I have to see their doctor. And oh yeah, if you have insurance you don't get sick or hurt. Its only when you don't. I went without insurance for a few months and was sick the whole time. And of course I also had no money for a Doctor. So I just gutted it out, and whinned, whinning is important, you have to do that too.
