Sep. 9th, 2006 08:09 pmSpent one half of the day at work, the second half at the mall trick-or-treating for job applications, and the rest thinking and being mildly sick. The latter two, thankfully, have nothing to do with each other.
There's a lot of Muslim women around here. I like to look at them because they always have the most beautiful head scarves- I mean, seriously, where do they get these things? They're gorgeous. Anyway, I was musing to myself on the bus today that dammit, I want a head scarf. Not for any convoluted religious reason, or to mock anything, or even to see what it's like for a day. I just kind of like the idea of exposing less of my hair. I don't really let it down a lot anyway; my hair, its length, its condition, whatever, is kind of private for me in a weird way. I wonder what it would be like to take it a step further and cover it completely.
....
School is crazy, as predicted. I have trouble keeping my eyes open during philosophy, but that's because the light in that classroom is odd and hurts my eyes. The place is crowded as hell now, due to the dorms- well, huh! OCC almost seems like a REAL college. It's the Pinocchio of colleges.
