Okay, so the phone is fixed. As it turned out, there was a short on the wire where it came into the house. Sometimes it's really lucky to have a phone guy as a dad, because then he can fix things like that without waiting for hours and hours for the phone company to come and fix it.
Vampire was great. I heart my new character; she's such a spaz. Bribery of Christie has been accomplished and she's letting me do a Daughter of Cacophany. Lilliana (my character) is still very basic at this point; I don't have any of her physical/mental/social traits or certain attributes and flaws worked out yet, but she was done enough to bring her into play last night.
Such. A. Spaz.
In a nutshell- she's severely ADHD. Because of this, she can never remember the entirety of any one song; she has to see it written down on paper or sing along with it to sing the whole thing. This pissed off her sire, because Lilliana wound up messing up a big performance and embarrassing her. Pssh- those divas are so touchy. Anyway, she spends a lot of time being hyper and spazzy and humming and drumming her fingers and trying very hard to focus and remember the songs she wants to sing. As a result, she goes around singing verses of songs. So far, she's freaked out the Prince and had a dart thrown into her head when she volunteered to be the one with the proverbial apple on her head in a game of William Tell.
Yay Vampire. Also, the pizza lady across the street has decided that Pat and I are real vampires because we're pale. Nice lady, but a surreal conversationalist; it took her fifteen minutes to convice her that no, we do not all believe that we are actually vampires, it's just a game. It's playing pretend, but with a rule book.
Bah. Time to go clean the house now.
