Gah. Work tonight (mine.)
Gah. Work tomorrow (theirs.)

Got less accomplished than usual. Spent the whole day shopping for Easter clothes- wound up with a LOTR MAD magazine and some toothpaste. While this might make for an interesting fashion statement in some circles, it's hardy acceptable for my conservative-ish church.

My sister, on the other hand, looks like a twenty-three year old lawyer straight off the set of Ally McBeal. She's not the skinniest person in the world, but the outfit she got made my jaw drop. Sheesh. The only thing I found that fit made me look like a 1950's something -housewife? socialite?- all I needed was a string of pearls. Erg.

In other news, Dad gave me a pirate name. I'm now the terror of the Seven Seas- Captain Daisy of the Good Ship Annoyance.

Daisy?

Oh well. It can't be taken back now. Daisy I be, arrrrrr.

Yes. We're all talking like pirates now. Damn Johnny Depp and Lando (so called because Mater said that 'Orli' was ridiculous and girly) and Geena Davis. And Isle of Dogs, for that matter. That's REALLY what started it all.

*hysterical giggle*

NO TIME, PRECIOUS! NASSSTY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS FUCKERS TOOK IT FROM USSSSS!!!!!

Hello,

I haven't been around these parts for a while. I want that MAD magazine... I'll have to have a look around for it here!

Captain Daisy makes you sound like you belong in a dairy farm (or maybe a garden)! I'm guessing this is in regard to some new pirate movie? I'll be looking forward to it if that's the case, we don't have enough pirate movies these days and Johnny Depp is a fantastic actor. Just have to wait until it comes out in London.

Glad to see you're back :D Huzzah!

I am Captain Daisy of the Good Ship Marzipan, the scourge of the Backyard. Fear me. Arrrrr.

Yep, the movie comes out July 9th in the States. You're in London? Hella cool. Can I come and visit?

Oh no, not captain Daisy and her Marzipan Marauders! Raise the white flag! Do whatever she says or she might use the shears again!

Yup I moved here at the end of last year and travelled for a few months before settling down in London and starting work. I'm planning on saving some money here then doing a trip around some more of Europe in the summer. There are so many places I want to visit and so much I want to do, but all in good time I guess.

Actually I've been to a few nice graveyards here too. London doesn't have as many parks or wildlife areas as Sydney so graveyards are a wonderful alternative for some peace and quiet.

Sure come and visit whenever you want :) If you have the desire to travel then I think its something that you must do while you're young, or else you'll always regret it.

I'll keep an eye out for that movie. What's the name of it?

Pirates of the Caribbean. The trailer is up on the official site, which I don't know the name of, but if you type "pirates of the caribbean official site" into Google or whatever you'll come up with it.

I'm going to save up to go traveling next summer and fall, hopefully. I know that air rates to England are really cheap around March- Roundtrip NYC to London goes for something ridiculous like a hundred bucks- so we'll see. I keep threatening to just go overnight, and Mater just rolls her eyes at me.

If I come visit, we can go for graveyard picnics. Hooray!

I found it and it looks good, hopefully not too family orientated though being Disney, but it doesn't look like it from what's on the website.

Yup the airfares are good value these days. I want to go visit NYC sometime too, but not for a while. I want to travel Europe first.

Yay for graveyard picnics! You have to come visit Richmond Park too!

Yay I found it. Went shopping. Saw it. Grabbed it. Flipped through it. Run to cash register. Waited in line. Continued waiting in line. Damn that cashier takes so long. Went to different line. Served immediately. Laugh at other people who are still waiting. Annoyed glances. Finally purchase it. Read it on ride home. Laugh. Re-read it. Laugh more. Came home. Went to computer. Sign online. Come here. Write obviously boring post. Use one of the funny lines as quote. The end.

Hey Feather,

I'm just stopping by, as I haven't talked to you in ages. I'm currently moving from good ole stinky Kansas to California. The military decided they'd had enough of me and finally kicked me out on my arse. KIT.
