There is always drama, no matter how hard you try to hide from it. This is something I have learned this time around. I've probably learned it before, but have no memory of it.
Yesterday. Talked to Kate briefly; we thought about getting together this weekend but I don't think it'll work out, between the opera and no one feeling well over here. I was supposed to call her back after dinner. Except I didn't eat dinner, cause Justin came over and we wound up going to the movies to go see Blade II.
Drama#1: Justin. We go way back, which is a good thing, I guess. But he kept asking me to blow him... so finally I said if he bought me my Ninja I would, whenever he wanted for the rest of his life. So we'll see about that when I see that bike in the driveway.
The movie was really good. Go see it. I'm going to go get the soundtrack as soon as I get some more money. It makes you want to get about five people together and walk around glaring at everything wearing black leather, skulking around alleys and looking for trouble. Very fun.
Drama #2: We ran in to Al, Kimmi, Charley and some other kid. Al now lives down the block from me, at number 99. (!) It was cool seeing Kimmi again- I'd been wondering what the hell had happened to her a few days ago, in fact- but seeing Al was odd. Cool, but odd.
Drama #3: We all go to Denny's. Was very awkward as Spike and I had something going on for a while before Christmas. The last time I talked to him he said, "Okay, so I'll call you the next time we schedule a band practice." He never called me back. So, figuring he didn't want to hang out anymore, I kind of moved on. Throw in Christmas, work, and everyone getting sick in January I didn't even have time to email people. Turns out I commited "high treason" in his book, but Justin wouldn't tell me what the fuck it was. Arrgh.
Drama # 4: Have to go to Nana's for Easter. This means a six hour drive with my parents and sister. To go to Purgatory, or the most reasonable fascimile thereof.
Drama # 5: Got dragged all over the fucking mall today for Easter shopping. I was miserable yesterday, now I'm just collapsing. My dad started calling me Typhoid Mary at the dinner table, possibly in conjunction with the conversation about the Tudor family and the reigns of Edward, Jane, Mary, and Elizabeth. Dad couldn't get straight who beheaded who.
Drama # 6: Was supposed to call Aaron last night at eleven. Fuck. Now he probably hates me. I'll call him tonight at eleven. He'll be up, he has to go to Florida at one thirty or something.
Drama # 7: Alta yelled at Maurice over the whole "oompa loompa" issue. Dammit. Now he's writing me mushy emails. We are not going out anymore. I've moved on. He had too, to the oompa loompas, but he just can't get over it. I HATE when that happens.
Drama # 8: Forgot Zoi-chan's birthday. Well, didn't actually forget, but lost track of the days and didn't call her. I feel like an absolute shithead. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, ZOI CHAN!!!
Drama # 9: STILL don't have my skates back. Dammit.
So now I have a head cold, I've walked on the toes of all my friends, argued with my dad over how to do the dishes, and caused my sister to have a Royal Sulk by telling her that she is not a stick girl, and therefore cannot wear slip dresses. Plus I think my mom is going to tell dad about my tattoo, which would be BAD as he hates any tattoos/piercings and is in the midst of some kind of midlife crisis thing. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. I can't believe I didn't talk to Aaron last night.
Oh well. I hope Kate has a good time doing Pit for the SU Opera thing. She's such a wonderful violinist. I'm glad that Anna feels beautiful; she's one of the most beautiful people I know and I'm glad she realizes it. I hope Tom had a great concert and has a good time watching his movie. I hope every one is good, good, good.
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday.
My head hurts.
I'm going to go read fic now.
