BEHOLD A FAMOUS GEEK
May. 20th, 2005 10:54 amWho got famous along with this other geek via the front page of the Post-Standard for dressing up* for the midnight showing of Star Wars. Not to be confused with this geek, who was also there but wound up on the news instead of in the paper, or this geek, who is not famous but infamous. Unless of course someone else is a "crazy geek who wanders around OCC with long, flowing brown hair and a red lightsaber."
(Quinn's comment on being called geeky through the grapevine? "WHOA!!! They said my hair was flowing? Really?" ...and he proudly tossed his [flowing] hair over his shoulder.)
Okay. STAR WARS. WAS. FUCKING. AWESOME.
My brain is still kind of fried, so if you want a great review of this movie (and one that I happen to agree with entirely), go check out Adraefan's review. It's even got pretty, pretty pictures.
Hehe. Random ghetto moment: when we walked into the (now stadium OMG!) theater, a bunch of people that we passed were like, "Yo yo yo! Check out that Sith dude! Word, etc. etc," talking about Matt and Tom and I. And then one of them points to me and goes, "Look, it's Queen Amidilly!"
I kid you not. Queen Amidilly is in the hizzouse fo shizzle, yo.
( And then I royally pissed of my dad )
Anyway. Yesterday was great. Quinn came home with me on the last bus to B'ville around six and we just hung out until about ten when Jeremy came to pick him up. Actually, Quinn was asleep for the majority of the time, which I was happy about. That kid does not get enough sleep living where he does- having tried to sleep there, I now know what he's going through. I could never, never live like that. So I alternated between sleeping!Quinn and doing the dinner dishes and watching CSI.
Nick's autopsy dream = owns my soul.
And now I'm going to go take a shower. Yay for showers and going to Seven Rays with Manda and Jason.
*I use the term "dressing up" loosely. Really it was just Padme's black corset outfit tiara with my own (white) corset top and a sand colored cloak thing I had lying around. However, you totally can't tell that I'm not wearing a black corset thing in the picture. SWEETNESS.
