Just royally bombed my first chemistry test. Go me. Didn't answer a nine point question because I totally blanked on the formula I was supposed to use, even though I'd studied it- I knew what page it was on, and where it was on the page, and what color ink it was written in, for god's sake, but I just could not remember it.

As soon as I got out of class I went to my spot on the stairs, pulled out my notebook, read the formula, and cursed out loud for about ten minutes. Then I kicked the wall a couple of times. And now I'm here, overwhelmingly pissed at my own abject stupidity.

I'm not sure how I did on the rest of the test. When I got it I looked the whole thing over and freaked out, because none of the questions made sense and I had no idea what I was supposed to do. However, this happens on almost every test I take, so I skip all over the place and do questions out of order until things start to come together. That happened this time- as I kept doing problems, things got easier and started to click. But that doesn't mean I'm going to pass.

And to top it all off, I had the third movement of Moonlight Sonata going through my head, over and over, at the loudest possible mental volume. Which made concentration a problem. No matter what I tried, I just couldn't change it.

Why can I remember a difficult piano piece note for note in total clarity, but not remember the damn formula to calculate wavelength????

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. So maybe it's my own fault for fucking my test up, since I took an hour out of my study schedule to eat dinner and watch Grissom & Co. However, last night's episode was a good one, and I'm glad I didn't miss it.

You know, when I first heard what the subject matter was going to be, I was skeptical. I think I'd have been skeptical about the plushies/furries one too, if I had read the spoilers for it. It's really kind of pushing the line, at least on paper. But the CSI writers never fail to amaze me with the delicacy with which they handle touchy subjects. Last night's episode done tactfully. Props to the writers. With that said, let's move on.

I. LOVE. CATHERINE.

Bout damn time someone put Spork in her place. Oh, man, that was GREAT. Kelsey and I cheered.

Oddly enough, I'm really starting to like Ecklie. At least, I thought he was great last night. He's just like, "That's my job," but there wasn't a lot of snarkiness in it. We're finally getting to see the good Ecklie does; politics is a nasty job, but someone's gotta do it, you gotta have the personality for it. And I think Grissom and Catherine are starting to realize that.

...Do I even have to bring up the part in the Nursery Store?

*falls over on the floor laughing*

And I loved when Grissom crawled out of the little tunnel. "Look, Mom! It's Grissom in Wonderland!"

Very, very odd episode. But it was funny. And funny rocks my socks.

(*singsong* And Spork got her ass kicked! Spork got her ass kicked!)
