“Merry! Weel ye stop trying to knock me off the platform! Ah’m tryin’ to look.”
“Shove off, Pippin. You’ve been looking for fifteen minutes now and all the others are taken.”
“Not now, Merry!”
Grumbling, Merry stopped trying to climb up Pippin’s back. He resisted the urge to viciously kick him in the back of the knees and send him tumbling over the edge of the very tall, very swaying-in-the-wind Space Needle.
This particular vacation had been the brainchild of Aragorn and Legolas. Seattle offered enough culture for the elf and rugged wilderness for the ranger; Pippin thought that it didn’t have anything for anyone else and they might have thought of that when they planned it. And now Pippin was being a telescope hog. Merry had an inkling that Pippin was using said telescope to look in apartment windows in search of women with big knockers. This after they’d just made up their most recent fight! Well, he’d get him back.
Walking into the snack bar, he paid ten dollars for a cup of Starbucks coffee and emptied copious amounts of pepper packets into it in lieu of sugar. Grinning evilly, he took the cup back out to the observation deck. This would show Pippin to oogle people that weren’t him without sharing the telescope.
