Well, not really. However, the Long Awaited Conference is finally coming up... it's on Saturday. Seven academic papers, one living history exhibit, one dinner. We'll see who survives.
At least I'll look good- I bought my first Cuddy suit. It's some hipster kind of suit thing from Express with some tuxedo-frilly kind of tops. It does wonders for my ass, but not for my bank account. I've been telling myself for the past hour that it's an investment, I can wear it to interviews in the city, and that I can dress them up or down and thus get my money's worth.
(NO NEW KIMONO FOR A WHILE *SOB*)
I have not acknowledged for several weeks now that I have other work besides the day-to-day stuff and this conference. Somewhere, glimmering ominously on the scholastic horizon, is a 15 page paper, an 8 page paper, two finals, and an oral debate in an outdoor ampitheater about going to war with Rome.
(I'm one of the Carthaginian monarchists. Whee! Yay Carthage!)
After that, graduation and the real world. For a year, anyway, and then it's back into the unreality that is grad school and academia.
ROFL.
