My Biggest Fan
Mar. 18th, 2002 04:11 pmWow. I haven't updated in a few days. So here's a recap for all of the voices in my head who care and/or feel justified somehow by reading/writing this stuff. Arrgh.
107.9 is having a contest to be a DJ on the morning show, and I decided to enter. You have to send them a 100 word essay and a pic, so my mom said she'd take some for me since the others didn't turn out too well. We went down to Mercer Park, and she's directing me to do things, stand, sit, look that way, etc. etc. As were were leaving this little kid starts screaming at us. My mom's like, give the kid a thrill, Feather, wave at him. So I did. He got all excited and I could finally make out what he was saying. The conversation was as follows:
Kid: Are you from a magazine?
Me: *thinking, why not?* Yes!
Kid: Really really from a magazine!
Me: Yeah, really really!
Kid: *starts freaking out* OH MY GOD! I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!!
It was quite cute. Lol.
And after that, nothing happened. Sheesh.
Got off work early today, Dad's sick again. Blah blah. Am downloading music for Mom, yay.
I could've sworn that I had something more to say. Oh well, what do you expect when you have no life. It really shouldn't surprise me at this point.
Oh yeah, for those of you who want to know:
Kyoko's dating a Jersey Boy (go her,) is a decorated veteran, her foot is getting better but is still in a cast, is stateside again (AZ) and recently went to San Diego and had the time of her life. Her sister's getting married, and she'll be back in NY in June or July. So yeah.
Am going to go call Nelys and she what she's up to. Am also going out tonight, to a lecture on the gardens of New Zealand at the library. New Zealand... hmmm.
More later.
