Okay, so the phone is fixed. As it turned out, there was a short on the wire where it came into the house. Sometimes it's really lucky to have a phone guy as a dad, because then he can fix things like that without waiting for hours and hours for the phone company to come and fix it.

Vampire was great. I heart my new character; she's such a spaz. Bribery of Christie has been accomplished and she's letting me do a Daughter of Cacophany. Lilliana (my character) is still very basic at this point; I don't have any of her physical/mental/social traits or certain attributes and flaws worked out yet, but she was done enough to bring her into play last night.

Such. A. Spaz.

In a nutshell- she's severely ADHD. Because of this, she can never remember the entirety of any one song; she has to see it written down on paper or sing along with it to sing the whole thing. This pissed off her sire, because Lilliana wound up messing up a big performance and embarrassing her. Pssh- those divas are so touchy. Anyway, she spends a lot of time being hyper and spazzy and humming and drumming her fingers and trying very hard to focus and remember the songs she wants to sing. As a result, she goes around singing verses of songs. So far, she's freaked out the Prince and had a dart thrown into her head when she volunteered to be the one with the proverbial apple on her head in a game of William Tell.

Yay Vampire. Also, the pizza lady across the street has decided that Pat and I are real vampires because we're pale. Nice lady, but a surreal conversationalist; it took her fifteen minutes to convice her that no, we do not all believe that we are actually vampires, it's just a game. It's playing pretend, but with a rule book.

Bah. Time to go clean the house now.

Vampire rocked the fuck out. It was the last night of game, so I figured I'd kill Helena off, since she was so useless it was stupid. I almost succeeded.

Got attacked by werewolves in the woods, and blood bound one point to Nicholas, who fixed me up. Then we went back inside, where I got shot by snipers like, seven times or something- I only missed one shot- and was generally incapacitated. About three seconds later, Jessica comes in, sees Helena full of bullets on the floor, and goes into a frenzy. In a strange twist of logic, Jessica is sent into a frenzy because of violence against women or something- but the first person in her line of sight is me, so Helena is the one she attacks. (Kill the victim? Okay, lol.) Anyway, the upshot of this is that Helena gets punched in the head before Jessica moves on to frenzy at someone else. Then Cory's character, whose name I don't know, picked Helena up and tried to fix her. So, blood bound one point to him, too, but I was still torped so I wound up on the couch for awhile. Then Tim's Tremere was like, "Huh. Interesting." He threw me in the trunk and dragged my body off to Mirrodin's house, where she's currently lying in a room full of about seven vampires' worth of ashes, which Xellous may or may not have swept up for his own nefarious use. The point is, Tim's character has hung Helena up in the basement on meat hooks. Yay for torture! I think his plan is to convert her to his insane Lilith religion or something. And in about three days, she'll be fully blood bound to him.

Way to end a game. *squees and happy dances* Nothing like having the shit beat out of your character and having them wind up strung from the ceiling on a meat hook! She'll be batshit insane in no time.

Oh, and I finished Jane Eyre tonight. That was a great book.

Now I'm going to bed because I'm freakin' exhausted. Dad just asked me to go to the store, but I was like, oh HELL no, I can barely keep my eyes open as it is.

For instance, I was supposed to be vaccuuming the office yesterday, but wound up showing John (my boss) Rotten.com and talking him into buying a demotivator poster from despair.com for another coworker. So as we're standing around looking at pictures of naked!Ahnold and various gruesome crime scene photos, Dad walks in.

John tells him that he doesn't really approve of Quinn (or specifically, his ponytail) but that Quinn's mother is pretty hot. We spent the next hour and a half talking about how Quinn's mother is hot, how my mother kills people when she's mad, convents and how I almost wind up in them, and my work schedule.

Later that night, I tried to explain some quantum physics stuff to Quinn and he actually listened to me. I don't know how much he actually grasped, but he listened, and it was just a cool conversation. Started out somewhere in the realm of cats in boxes (which everyone knows is a favorite theory of mine, thank you Mark Wilson, wherever you are) and ended up on The Last Samurai and perfect cherry blossoms. Kind of.

My character actually did things in game last night, in a peripheral sort of way, but the part where it got really odd was the whole OOC ride home thing. Tim didn't know what he was doing after game and didn't want to go all the way out to B'ville, and Jeremy was going to B'ville but he was leaving like RIGHT NOW, so Quinn called his mom and asked if I could stay over there.

She said yes, but on one condition. We could have sex, but we couldn't wake up in the same bed.

Now, this leaves me with a giant WTF? in a thought bubble over my head. Sex= okay, but sleep= OMGDOOM. Which kind of negates the whole thing, since we were both exhausted and nothing would have been going on anyway.

Wound up getting a ride home with Tim anyway, since everyone decided to call game relatively early and not do anything after. So, yay for avoiding potentially awkward situations.

And my parents are SO happy with the "I decided to come home vs. going home with Quinn" turn of events that they're practically dancing. Well, my dad is, anyway.

Bah. It's not like I was giving up on him or anything, it was just the ride schematics that were in question. Plus there's only two B'ville buses on Saturday, and I didn't know when they were.

Still trying to get the car for today/tonight, though. Dad is working today, tomorrow, and Monday, so I don't know how it's going to work logically, but I told him about how Manda is on bed rest and bored and he sympathizes. And they are inducing labor on Monday OMG!!!! BABY!!!! So I told him how I should really spend some time with my Baby Momma, cause that's my job and all.

I love surreality. Everything's so chill, but still off the wall. This is probably what some drugs are like.

Reprimanded for being a dumbass, but not dead. So, yay.

*writes on the blackboard* I will not invite vampires from other clans over to my house ever again, especially when I have a fully stocked arsenal in the basement.

Game was fun. Complicated and at times tedious, but fun. Heart Vampire muchly. And it's going to get even more interesting over the next few weeks... Xell bringing Brent back from the dead and all that.

[livejournal.com profile] sepherus was there, too, which made me squee. I haven't seen him all summer, so it was like, OMFGYAY!!! And he was Lex's ghoul, which meant that we got to hang out a lot, since Lex and Helena are both Ventrue [read: I follow other members of my clan around when I have nothing to do.]

----

It's all kinds of hot and hazy outside. The parents are going shopping are something, so that means that I'm free to blast my new "Kingdom of Heaven" soundtrack on the big stereo downstairs as loud as my neighbors can take it. I was also thinking of going for a run, but it's miserable outside, so screw it. I'll just stick with my crunches and things.

Or maybe I won't, since I still don't feel very good. Blah. I wish it would hurry up and be fall already.

Vampire tonight. As I have one hell of a headcold and have been zonked on cold medicine since last night, game might be kind of interesting. With any luck I can keep my head and not turn into a blithering, zoned out idiot.

Oh, wait. I think it's a little late for that.

I really hope I don't get killed tonight.

It's really hot out. It's 90-something, and I'm nattering around in a sweatshirt and sniffling. What the fuck is wrong with that picture?

I had more thoughts than this, but my brain is a puddle of goo, so screw it. I can't even remember them now.

Yesterday (post-previous entry) I went back home from OCC. After eating some food and brushing my teeth I felt a little bit better, and decided to go to Vampire after all.

Now. Vampire is every Friday at Fairmount Community Church. I usually get a ride with Tim but because of crazed scheduling on my part, I couldn't yesterday. So I decided to take a bus. Asked Tim what street the church is on- he says it's at West Genessee and W- something or other. Right! I can totally do this.

I go downtown and ask the information lady which bus I take. She says the 78, because it goes up West Genessee Street. However, she neglected to tell me that the damn bus turns after Westvale Plaza. The bus driver was the one who told me this. He very nicely gave me a transfer to catch the Camillus bus- the one that would pass me later on- which is the one I should have taken, and I started walking.

The church can't possibly be that far away. Right? Right?

No. So very, very wrong.

I started to get nervous when I saw Wal Mart in the distance. I'm like, Oh, fuck. I totally thought it was before Wal Mart. Keep in mind, it's three miles from Westvale to Wal Mart. In nintey degree heat with high humidity. I was just about dead when I passed Wegmans. I decided to stop in to Wal Mart and talk to Quinn for a few minutes before resuming my trek.

Quinn's reaction: "Ohmigod, you're here! Omigod, your arm!"

(Yeah. It looks kind of bad, and people keep asking me what happened to it. Those Star Wars action figures, I tell ya. They just have it in for me.) But Quinn hadn't seen my arm since Tuesday or whenever it was, so he was like, whoa. He asked me what I was doing there, and I told him how I ended up walking. The look on his face got progressively more comical as I continued, and by the end he was staring at me open-mouthed, like I was some type of unbelievably precious idiot. Then he made me sit down for a while and let me drink some of his water. I wound up staying with him until he got off work, and then we walked up to the church together, which turned out to be another two blocks up the street.

Vampire was great. I'm starting to get the hang of this. There was a werewolf attack (I think. My character, luckily, is oblivious, so she can get away with not totally knowing what's going on unless she feels like it.) Morridin wound up being elected Prince, effectively kicking Dani's character out of office, even though she wasn't there. Ton Clau wound up torped in the trunk of a car. Two new Bruja showed up (Lopez and Scott- yay Lopez and Scott!) Helena (me) stole Xell's (Quinn's) book. There were cupcakes. There was lots of potato fun. Helena entered a crossbow tournament and lost horribly- shot in the shoulder, kneecap, and ass. Ouch. I love Vampire- it makes me happy.

Today was great. I just slept a lot. I think I needed sleep more than anything else, even though I missed a bunch of phone calls. And that's it, I guess.
