OMFchrist what a grueling finals week.

Did Latin on Monday morning, which was okay, except it was a completely new test format. An easier test format. But one that required an entirely different type of studying than what we've been doing all year. Haven't gotten the grade back on that one yet.

Got an A in my Islamic Spain class. wOOt.

Took my French final on Wednesday morning. It was generally okay except for the fact that the subjunctive tense was heavily emphasized. No problem, right? I can totally remember all the subjunctive endings.

YEAH. I KNOW THEM. IN LATIN.

Couldn't for the life of me remember the French ones. Long story short, sweated through that test. Wound up with a B+ in the class; how, I'm not sure.

Then went straight to my music final. I was fine through the first two listening sections, and it all went downhill from there. By the end of the test, the sinus headache that I could feel all morning had erupted, I was about to puke, and the lack of sleep and stress got to me. I had lost the notes for my pre-assigned essay before I memorized the damn thing, and bullshitted it off the cuff. Which might have turned out okay, but... I waxed a little odd at the end. The question was something like this:

"Medieval music often used parts from other musical works as a basis. This trend slowed and then stopped altogether by the fifteenth, sixteenth, and seventeenth centuries, and composers were writing original works. Do you agree, why or why not."

I put that I agreed, and to sum up, it was like music had outgrown the need to use other pieces of music in various works. Then I likened it to the training wheels coming off the bicycle of music, allowing the composer to ride free into realms hitherto only imagined. I was so wrapped up in this image of "music growing up" that I got all emotional and started to cry about it.

Spent that night and the next night at home with an awful, unshakable headache. Came to Camillus this morning. I took a bath and did a hair mask and might take a nap at some point.

I feel slightly more human now. Kind of.

nirix5: (300 last night was great)
Finished my paper at approximately 5:57 this morning.

...

That's the first all nighter I've pulled since 2001, when I had two minutes' worth of lunchbox animation cels to do, back when I was at Collins.

Wow.

Cleans up pretty )

Got this email a little while ago:

Hello,

Upon further consideration, I've decided to do part of your exam preparation for you by narrowing down the list of composers in Part II-B of the exam to the following most important ones: (insert 14, down from 22, musicians here)

Professor S.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS GUY RIGHT NOW

Also I love the kids in class with the guts to speak up about it.

.
nirix5: (ac a/z in the end)
So music is still ZOMG!WTF!DIFFICULT!RIDICULOUS!FUCK!.

However. I am now zen about the whole thing.

Mild blow up in class today- we, the students, disagree with his, the teacher's, methods for writing up a final exam. Essentially, the exam consists of:

1. A full test covering all the material from this unit (3 listening samples, 15-20 short answer questions, 5 in depth definitions.)
2. A full test covering the cumulative material covered this semester. (3 new examples with scores, 15 short answer questions, and 8 composer ID's of 1-2 paragraphs each, drawn from a pool of 22 names.)
3. A preassigned essay, consisting of 2-3 pages, that must be worked out before the test, memorized, and written during the test with no notes or outline.

The test is to be completed in two hours on Wednesday.

People tried to talk him into reducing some of the information he wants us to study; it's one of those tests where it's "five of any of these thirty terms (or whatever) might be on the test so know them all." Apparently, he's trying to teach us to strategize ("The most important composers will be on the test. Your job is to figure out which ones are the most important, and study them.") He's also trying to teach us to view music in its narrative historical context, and not just memorize facts. However, when the fact was pointed out that the essay will have to be memorized, he says that memorization is how you learn. *headdesk*

Long story short, he's not budging on his test. Which is fine, really. A giant pain in the ass with the extra paper essay, but fine. I have accepted this test and moved on.

I was mad at this guy for a while. He can be very condescending, thinks very highly of himself, takes petty things way too seriously. Slowly, I came to a realization about a few things:

~ This class isn't the be all and end all of my life. Why get worked up? We'll all be dead in eighty years anyway, and no one will remember any of this.
~ When people are obsessed about something, they get too close to it, and forget about the rest of the world. (Which is weird. He's like one of those people who take flamewars seriously. Music and internets= srs bsnzz.
~ Maybe he's got something to prove.

Last revelation was today. There was a concert on Monday night- Binghamton Vocal Consort and Schola Cantorum, singing English madrigals. Big deal for them, their first public performance, blah blah blah. Students were given the option to go and write a concert review for extra credit. A few of us went, but not too many I don't think.

Everyone handed up their homework at the beginning of class, as he was thanking those of us that went for going to the concert. He kind of glanced through the pile of homework, and said, "Well, I can see by the amount of assigned homework in the pile that not a lot of people went." The tone that he said it in was, I dunno, something like "well-I-didn't-
want-you-to-come-to-my-birthday-party-anyway." It made me sad.

So maybe he's got something to prove. Maybe his mom told him he'd never be a musician or he wants to change the world through his "strategize-don't-memorize" technique.

Well, here's to you, Professor. I wish you the best of luck in whatever it is you're trying to accomplish.

...

Now it's back to my regular studying schedule.

(I hate your stupid tests, you bastard. But no hard feelings. Really!)

(Also, your concert? Was great. I wholeheartedly enjoyed it.)

FICTION(DREAMS IN DIGITAL)
Orgy

She's lost in coma where it's beautiful
Intoxicated from the deep sleep
Deep sleep
Do you wonder what it's like
Living in a permanent imagination
Sleeping to escape reality
But you like it like that
Guilty by design

She's nothing more than fiction
She dreams in digital
Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
She dreams in digital

And your pixel army can't save you now
My finger's on the kill switch
I remember I used to compose your dreams
Control your dreams
And don't be afraid, expose yourself
Before I shut you down
You've made some changes
Since the virus caught you sleeping
Guilty by design

She's nothing more than fiction
She dreams in digital
Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
Cause it's better than nothing
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
Now the control is gone
It seems unreal
She's dreaming in digital
She dreams in digital
Cause it's better than nothing

I've been meaning to do this for a long time. It's Feather's Official Butterflied Mix, inspired by her obsession with butterflies stemming from one episode of CSI.

I should probably write and record a Butterfly Squad Theme Song. You know, on the Hammond Organ, or something.

Verve- Butterfly
Garbage- Butterfly Collector
Mariah Carey- Butterfly
DDR- Butterfly
Crazy Town- Butterfly
Him- Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly
Smashing Pumpkins- Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Chopin- Butterfly Etudes
Weezer- Butterfly
Ayumi Hamasaki- Butterfly
Duke Ellington- Black Butterfly
Blonde Redhead- Misery is a Butterfly
Sandwich- Butterfly Carnival
Acid Bath- Scream of the Butterfly
Alicia Keys- Butterflies
Tori Amos- Sleeps With Butterflies
Natalie Imbruglia- Butterflies
Foo Fighters- Butterflies
Madama Butterfly- Viene la sera/Vogliatemi Bene (Butterfly's and Pinkerton's love duet)
*Ian Brown- Set My Baby Free
*Charles Webster feat. Del St. Joseph (Chillout Sessions 4 Album)- Sweet Butterfly
*Massive Attack (100th Window album)- Name Taken
**Cinephile- What Becomes Of Us

I don't think anyone will ever guess the theme I've got going, or anything.

For instance, the other night Andy beat Kelsey at LOTR Trivial Pursuit.

I actually won (wow, big suprise.../sarcasm) but Kelsey and Andy decided to play it out all the way to the end. Poor Kelse. And she got all the stupid questions, too- "Who owns the magical mirror in Lothlorien? Where did Frodo wake up after the Ringwraith stabbed him?" and Andy still beat her. After he won she just sat there, staring at the board like she couldn't believe it.

This is actually pretty funny, because Kelsey is not only as big of a geek as I am, but she has a photographic memory, and thus has every line from every extended edition memorized. Andy couldn't remember Gollum's name at one point, and he kept getting questions that had to do with obscure Theoden quotes. Of course Mom and Dad made all kinds of cracks about writing this incident down on the calendar. Poor kid's still kind of in shock. I guess I'm mean even telling you guys about it, but I owe her one for the nickname incident. Payback is sweet. Heh.

.............

Dragged Mom to the store last night so I could make some Christmas gift exchanges. I got a new tiara, since the one Mom got originally was too tall. It's so sweet :) It's a Russian style tiara, which means that the top curves in a half circle as opposed to coming to a central point. It's the style most reminiscent of the kokoshnik, the traditional Russian headdress that the modern tiara is based on. And it's very comfortable and lightweight, which means that I can sit through an opera without getting a headache for once. SCORE!

Also traded in the Random Rap CD for U2's "How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb." I've been listening to this album constantly since last night, and I just about love it to pieces. I agree with Karen about the GS-ish songs. A lot of them strike me as such, or as songs that would fit well in that ship. But then, I was thinking about that in the shower this morning, and decided that I'm the type of person who makes things into what they want them to be. If my current fandom obsession was still Dark Angel, you can bet that this album would strike me as totally Max/Logan. *ponders* Which, now that I think about it, it does.

............

I wrote a poem last night. This isn't that odd, since I'm constantly writing things like poems and stories in my head, but I actually got up and wrote this one down, so I didn't lose it, or most of it. It's odd what eyeliner and lipstick can inspire in you. Or rather, the lack of motiviation to wash it off once you've put it on, because you're too lazy.

Haven't decided whether or not to post it in here. Might. Might not.

...I love Jorja to death, but my new green necklace is way prettier than hers. Okay, she's not allowed to dress herself anymore, hmmm?

Okay, today's rant is CD producer people being jerks when it comes to putting a piece of music on a disc in its entirety.

i.e., it's fucking impossible to find a copy of the Nutcracker Suite- the whole thing. Not just highlights of.

My Essential Ballet CD has the entire second act. Only the entire second act. WTF? What about the first half of the damn ballet???

It has:

~ The Magic Castle on the Mountain of Sweets
~ Clara and Prince Charming
~ Chocolate (Spanish Dance)
~ Coffee (Arabian Dance)
~ Tea (Chinese Dance)
~ Trepak (Russian Dance)
~ Dance of the Reed Pipes
~ Polinchinelle (sometimes Marzipan/Mother Ginger)
~ Waltz of the Flowers

I just got something (deceptively!) labeled as the Nutcracker Suite from the school library. It includes:

~ The Minature Overture
~ March
~ Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy

...and Coffee, Trepak, Tea, Dance of the Reeds, and Waltz of the Flowers. But that's it. It doesn't even have most of the movements that my Essential Ballet does. Hello, stupidity.

HELLO?!?!?! Where the hell are the Snowflakes? The party scene? The battle between Nutcracker and the Mice?????

AAARRRRRRRRRGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--- Sorry. This is vastly annoying. I want to listen to the whole thing straight through, dammit. I'm in a Nutcracker mood. It's my favorite story/ballet EVER. And I am now denied the snowflake scene. Damn you, Bolshoi recording. Damn you, Essential Ballet.

My problems with Van Helsing

~ Okay, I know the whole “gypsy princess” thing sounds cool, but let’s be realistic here. Gypsies were (and still are, in some areas) scorned at the least and persecuted at the most. That a gypsy king winds up ruling a part of Transylvania is highly, highly unlikely, if for no other reason than peasant opposition.

~ Corsets were not made to do backflips in. I can’t manage a cartwheel well in a modern day corset with relatively soft boning. So how the fuck can Anna do all the gymnastics? Corsets are movement restricting, so it wouldn’t help her in any of the fight scenes either. And I do not care what anyone says- you cannot wear clothes like that in that time period or any kind of rural area and rule peasants. They’d put you in a hut on the edge of town and call you the village ho.

~ (Yes, most of my gripes are about the girls. I know. Leave me alone.) You can’t get into a bunch of fights, fall off buildings, through ceilings, over cliffs, whatever, blah blah, and come out with the Pantene Pro-V hair that you went in with. Especially with curly hair- hello, frizz? Humidity? Anna is not Legolas. Something the producers must have forgotten. With Legolas it is plausible to have perfect hair constantly. With Anna it is not.

~ Transylvania = harem girl outfits? WTF??? If the brides of Dracula are going to have floaty, cool looking “flying” outfits, okay, but you could do something better with the ethnic costumes of the region, or at the most something toga-based, since Transylvania was at one point part of the Roman Empire. But maybe it was close to Constantinople and that’s where they lifted the idea from? Arrgh. Who knows. (And what is with the collar thing the brunette was wearing?)

My problems with The Day After Tomorrow

~ Dehydration didn’t seem to be a problem. At all. Which is strange, assuming that a) the water from the tidal wave was too gross to drink, and b) drinking water would have frozen in the pipes when the storm started. The latter point does allow for survival in that a few people could go out everyday and gather snow, melting it over the fire to get drinking water. However, I saw no pots or anything that would suggest this.

~ Personal hygiene. “Hey, Sam, I love you too! Kiss me! But ignore the fact that I haven’t showered or brushed my teeth in upwards of a week. And that I lost my suitcase, which had my deodorant and a change of clothes…”

~ What about using the bathroom? That must have gotten pretty gruesome after the first couple of days, what with the pipes frozen so you can’t flush and all. And with the lights out. And it must have been cold. Brrr, cold toilet seat! This issue is not addressed in the movie.

~ Why didn’t the Japanese guy put his hands over his head to deflect the hailstones? (Okay, stupid question.)

~ How were the space guys going to get down if it all went pear shaped and Houston was destroyed or something?

~ Why was Staten Island covered with water when its hills are higher than the Statue of Liberty, and the Dump itself is the highest man-made point on the eastern seaboard? I don’t care if everyone does forget about Staten Island like ALL THE TIME, it should have BEEN there, dammit!!!

My problems with the local radio stations

~ Amanda Perez needs to shut the fuck up. Every song of hers that I’ve heard so far (grand total 2) is her getting over an alleged relationship and whinging and whining about god at the same time. Mushy, identical sounding god songs, and the girl’s got shitty diction “God send me an angew…” AngEL, honey, angEL, EL EL ELLLLLL.

~ Beyoncé’s song “Naughty Girl” wasn’t that great the first time around. Now, after 5674 playings, I find that it hasn’t improved at all. Yet they play it. Constantly. On all three stations I listen to all day.
nirix5: (Default)
I just thought that you should all know that this song is fucking hot.

*dances*

Oh yeah. And me without a guy around!

Let’s replay today, shall we?

“Dead people!” The sound of the dragon’s voice echoed up the stairway into the tower, where the beautiful princess was peacefully sleeping.

Hey. I said replay today. Not some fucked up fairy tale.
~ Whatever you say, boss.
Damn straight.

“Dead people!” Feather’s dad yelled up the stairs at her. “Dead people! Wake up! Time for work!”

Blearily opening her eyes to what she thought was a choir but was only the sound of the rain outside, Feather groaned and pulled the blankets up around her head.

Two minutes later, “Dead people!” snapped Feather out of her wonderful choir-filled doze. Rolling out of bed, she stubbed her toe on a carpet tack, and swearing profusely made her way into the shower….

And that’s a tale for another day.

Today was slightly more exciting than most. Considering B’ville was under emergency flash flood warnings and made into an Official Disaster Area, or some such thing. Water all over the place. Dammit, where’s my flippers when I need them?!?!?

I finished reading A Winter’s Tale for the second time. I don’t know why people don’t replace the Bible with that book. It’s the most phenomenal work of fiction I’ve ever read in my entire life, and it moves me like nothing else. Every single word makes sense to me in a way that little else does… Alta would probably say the whole thing was a Feather Thought and wash her hands of it. If anyone wants a glimpse into my mind, that book is it. The end.

Likewise, this (Across The Stars, Ep. II ST) is one of the most moving pieces of music I’ve ever listened to. I SO want to skate to it, or dance to it, or something. I want it played at my wedding and my funeral.

The first few bars of “Anakin and Padme” sounds like something from the Harry Potter soundtrack. Hee.

I’m thinking about applying to the Culinary Institute of America, for chocolate/baking. Or maybe the culinary program; I don’t know, I love it all. That’s another thing I’ve been doing my whole entire life that I hadn’t even thought of going to school for. Like acting. It’s just something you do, you know? “Hey Anna, let’s pretend we’re horses…” Yeah. Anna and I can act like horses like it’s nobody’s business, lol.

Lots and lots of rain this morning, but no thunder and lightning. Pssh. I’m quite disappointed.

And I’m going out of my mind, ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

Ugh

Let me tell you something. When you spill sheet music all over the place because you're in a rush, and you have to put it all back together in the right order, that is fucking hard to do when all the words are in Italian.

My cat is twisted around the banister, trying to eat his own tail. Dumbass.

Spent most of the day in Cazenovia, working on a job doing mostly nothing. Due to discrection at work policy, I can't write the details here. It was interesting, to say the least. Got back just in time to grab my music, spill it, and rush out to my lesson. BUT I did really well tonight. Even hit the really high note at the end of that one song.

I was thinking all these profound thoughts in the car, intending to write them down here, but I forgot them. All that's going in my head now is "Sleep-ice cream-chocolate syrup-stretch-music-sleep-" A nice lullaby, but it keeps getting interrupted by the dictator in my head shouting "MONKFACE!!! Get off your ass and WRITE SOMETHING!!!" So here goes nothing.

My legs hurt.

Ugh.

Ah, the first blizzard of spring. What a day.

Had another celebrity dream last night. Alicia Keys this time... so that brings the count up to five. (Britney, Justin, Lance, Alicia Keys, and Josh Hartnett. Go figure.)

Saw Kate's concert last night. It was nothing short of phenomenal. Kate is the most amazing violinist I've ever heard in my life, and she's a joy to listen to. And they played one of my all time favorite songs, "Night On Bald Mountain."

Truck broke down today, downtown at Traditions. Got to ride in a flatbed truck, so it was an adventure. Poor dad. He's having a midlife crisis. I'm going to sell some songs and make some money for him.

Um. I had more stuff to rant about but I forgot what it was. Something to do with the end of the world as seen through Celebrity Boxing. It really must be the end of the world. That's the epitome of ridiculous. *bangs head into table*

Oh yeah... Alicia Keys is playing the Fair this summer! SCORE!!!!! I'm sooooo going to that. Who's with me???

Oh. Got an email from Big Jay today. Got it from Jeremy last year and wrote the following response. Making waves again, considering he sent it to 89 people and I sent it back to all of them. Here goes.

THE NEW SCHOOL PRAYER

This was written by a teen in Bagdad, Arizona. This is
incredible!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice. For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns, the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

MY REPLY:

I'm sorry, I must say I don't agree with this sentiment. I don't want to insult any Christians, or anyone like that. I know alot of Christians and I think most are nice people. However, if they made closer studies of the Bible, they'd realize that Jesus's advice was to keep their prayers to themselves and not to pray in public (Literally, "Go into your closet [meaning bedroom] and pray.") If you allow prayer in school, that's fine. But you must also allow it for Jewish kids, Muslim kids, even Wicca and Satanist kids. Think about it...how would most Christians react if the day was started out with a prayer in Yiddish? Especially in rural areas?
You can pray in school. But say it in your head, not out loud. I think if Jesus were alive today and someone seated next to him started praying, he'd get annoyed. I know I would.
Seperation of church and state is just that...seperation of church and state, and it is that way for a reason. How many people in the past have died due to religious wars? That is what happens when you mix church and state. Look at the Crusades.
You cannot legislate morality. It's up to parents to raise their kids the right way, with or without religion in their lives. Not the schools. I think that parents who expect the school systems to enstill a sense of right and wrong in their child are complete and total fools, and are not fit for the job.
So read this poem. You can agree with it, or you can disagree. But please, please, PLEASE, think about what you are saying. You have a brain, so use it. And if you pray in school, keep it to yourself. Be quiet and unobtrusive about it. That's all I ask.
~Heather, NY

So I've stood up for my beliefs today. Go me.
Onwards and upwards.

Actually it won't, that's just the name of a song I like. We saw the Joe Pizzarelli Trio concert tonight, and it was DOPE!!! Must go out and buy Joe Pizzarelli CD's. Must must must.

During itermission I got a craving for Entemann's raspberry twist danish, so I started ad-libbing Alicia Keys songs. "How come you don't feed me... anymo-ore?" lol. My mom was cracking up.

Dr. Gross got the tickets for us. He and his wife were supposed to go too, but their daughter got a nosebleed that wouldn't stop so they had to take her to the hospital. I hope she's all right. His son came and gave us our tickets.

Now it's late and I'm going to work on my pastel project for a little bit before I go to bed. Arrgh. Have to email Aaron. Have to call Jen. *bangs head into table* If this is what doing PR is like, I don't want any part of it. Sucks for me, huh. I intensely dislike talking to people sometimes.

Have to email Maurice, Alta, and Becca, too. And reply to Jason. And figure out how to use the Yahoo message board for OFUM. (I'm in a fanfic... Sauron turns my hair orange for siding with Morgoth. This is all Kate's fault, lol.)

I'm in a severe "Missing Arizona" mood. Today is actually the day last year that I went out there... and ran smack into Kevin *swoon* Too bad he's married. He was a cutie. Damn.

Look at how I've changed. Zoicks! Maybe not as drastic as Anna's revolution, but I've changed just the same. I finally got over my fear of singing in front of people, which I suppose could be counted as a plus considering I plan to do something with that.

Hmmmmm....

More on this later.

*Have also decided to "retire" dragon for now. Am thinking will be Elf, or Half-Elf or some such. Ideas appreciated, please leave note.

Idea #2: LUCIA DE LAMMERMOOR

LUCIA DE LAMMERMOOR
LUCIA DE LAMMERMOOR
LUCIA DE LAMMERMOOR
LUCIA DE LAMMERMOOR

... is my new favorite opera. I love it love it love it.

I am going to learn it, no matter what. This is like the triple loop of operas. I will master it like no other. Maria Callas eat your heart out.

Am going to go eat ice cream. Am going to gym on Saturday. Am going to SI to hand deliver a large serrated knife to [livejournal.com profile] saccarineayako. Or a sledgehammer. Whichever. Whoever disrupts dancing deserves to die a slow, painful death.

More later. Am hyper-excited that vocal teacher had the score for the Mad Scene from Lucia de Lammermoor. DRAMA!!!!

I love it when they line up lots of tap lights in rows, and you can run up and down and tap them, and feel all cool like you're in the Blue Man Group or something. *blink*

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Must listen to Nsync REALLY LOUD to remedy this.
Tell me, tell me baby... *sings along*

Although BSB did do the "If you want it to be good girl, get yourself a bad boy" song. Ho hum. They should die anyway. We all know Nsync is better. They've got Lance.

Anyone wanna help me figure out the colors, please do. I can't get the damn thing to work.

I'm gonna try to set up the scanner in a few minutes. Wish me luck. If you see a mushroom cloud going up from my general direction, run. Run very fast and don't look back.

I have this craving for an antipasto salad from Munch A Lunch. Unfortunately it's 2000 miles away, and they're not open on Sundays anyway. Phooey.

Am trying once again to download Mya's "Best of Me" remix. The first song I got corrupted to... ah, sweet memories. Must go to Arizona again. Must go street racing. Must must must.

I think I should get some food before my head starts spinning around like a radar dish.

Note to self: get Mousaka recipe from Uncle Kevin.

Also, look up New Zealand stuff... More on that later. *knocks on wood so as not to jinx self or plans*

Have done absolutely no work today. I must remedy this tomorrow.

Sara's parents tooks us all (Nelys, Darkshade, Georgette, Kristin, Sara, and myself) out to dinner at Bennigan's which was very nice of them. We all had a great time. I think I'll have them all over at my house for a party or something soon. I'm so happy that I have a few friends my own age around here now, besides Kate and Tom.

Mom, Dad and Tess went to see Kate and Leopold at the dollar cinema. I can't wait to see it, but I'm just gonna wait till it comes out on video. Mom says the score is really good too.

Which reminds me. I have to work on that aria before my next lesson. Faster, faster, must go faster... at least up to tempo but I don't think my teacher can do it. I should really look into finding another teacher. Hmm.

No RPing right now. Too tired to think outside the mold, or rather to write it down so it matches up in a coherent way. Maybe tomorrow.

If I don't get to sleep late, heads will roll.
